Catering and Sales Assistant

An opportunity has opened for a friendly, confident and self-motivated Sales and Catering Assistant to join Venzi's, a rapidly growing mobile catering company.

As a Catering Assistant your focus will be the smooth running of the prep kitchens and stock areas, ensuring all the food is produced for our sandwich van deliveries in an efficient and consistent way, stock is maintained and all daily and weekly scheduled cleaning and compliance tasks are completed and appropriately recorded.

As a Sales Assistant your focus will be to maintain Sandwich Van route, ensuring displays are loaded and maintained to a high standard, and to build and maintain good relationships with our customers.

Responsibilities

· Prepare sandwiches, rolls, baguettes, salads and wraps ensuring the food storage and preparation areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness

· Deliver lunches to our customer on an set route providing excellent customer service and maintaining a good relationship with customers

· Ensure that all customer sales are appropriately recorded in the EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) system

· Load sandwich van displays and monitor the stock on the sandwich van

· Follow all food hygiene, security and safety procedures

Requirements

· Any previous catering experience would be an advantage

· Current food hygiene or food safety certificate is helpful but not necessary, training can be provided

· Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

· Full clean driving licence

· Comfortable driving, reversing and manoeuvring at customer sites, and good sense of direction

· Comfortable in cash handling

· Confident with technology (phone apps and Bluetooth)

· Able to provide a high level of customer service

Additional Information

· Salary from £11 per hour

· Hours are from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm with a 30 minute break (8 hours per day) Monday to Friday

· 20 days holiday per year, plus public and bank holidays
